A heritage-listed Art Deco cinema that has been entertaining the Shoalhaven community since opening in 1935, the Roxy Theatre is a family-owned and operated landmark located at 41 Berry Street, Nowra. The cinema complex features five screens of varying sizes, including a heritage-listed classical-themed cinema that seats up to 200.
All cinemas are equipped with NEC digital projection, 3D viewing capabilities, and Dolby 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. The venue offers a snack bar and coffee service, with plans for a licensed bar and special event nights. The theatre provides wheelchair access via a front ramp and hearing loops for the hearing impaired, with online booking available.
Following extensive renovations after January 2025 flooding, the cinema reopened in December with upgraded sound and lighting systems, new seating, flooring, bathrooms, and refreshed foyer spaces, all while preserving its classic Art Deco character that has made it a beloved destination for generations of Shoalhaven moviegoers.
