So, you’re about 1.5 weeks down and another week to go of school holidays.
Chances are you’ve stayed home because of world war 3/petrol prices/diesel availability fears and you’re looking for something to entertain the kids without breaking the bank.
Well you’re in luck… The Nowra CBD has a lot going on:
Shoalhaven Libraries
- Escape Room, Nowra Library, various sessions across Thursday 16 and Friday 17 April.
- Stand Up with Confidence Comedy Workshop with Anthony Lamond, Nowra Library, Saturday 18 April 10am – 2:30pm.
- Online Safety Presentation, Nowra Library, Wednesday 22 April, 4pm.
Bookings are essential for all events as places are limited. Visit the Shoalhaven Libraries ‘What’s On’ website for more details.
It’s also worth mentioning that even a visit to stock up on books for holiday reading is a great FREE activity. My kids love the growing manga collection and lazing around on beanbags while they decide on their picks.
Shoalhaven Regional Gallery
There is a free, drop-in activity for kids at the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery in Nowra.
Participants can create their own mini cape by taking part in a video workshop conducted by exhibiting artist Dennis Golding. This activity encourages children to think about culture, identity in their community, and a memory or connection to place. It also asks participants to find their inner hero, celebrate someone they would love to honour, or acknowledge their local heroes and Elders.
No bookings are necessary for this workshop. Families are invited to drop-in, enjoy the activity, think creatively, and have fun.
Roxy Cinema Nowra
The newly refurbished cinema is open and has something for everyone!
