Major infrastructure is helping create the conditions for change, including the recently completed bridge project ($440m), the soon-to-open hospital redevelopment ($332m) and proposed riverfront activation bringing up to 900 new dwellings to Nowra CBD. At the same time, the push to bring more life, investment and diverse activity into the city centre is gaining real traction.
Opportunity NOWra will explore what that means on the ground. The online showcase will include a snapshot of Nowra’s economy, highlighting why the region is worth paying attention to now.
It will feature Nowra success stories, sharing examples of businesses, people and ideas already finding traction here. It will ask the important question of what’s missing? Identifying the gaps, needs and untapped potential across retail, hospitality, services, culture and experience. It will also cover real estate and location opportunities, giving attendees a clearer sense of the spaces, precincts and possibilities emerging across the city.
And importantly, it will offer key introductions to community stakeholders, helping connect people with the locals, leaders and networks already working to shape Nowra’s future.
